where can i find the complete walk through for a wheel cylinder on a 94 saturn?
i gotta do it tom in school and would like to have a little knowledge on how to do it
i wanna do it fast to so i can have it done in about an hour
Go out tonight and spray the fitting where the brake line attaches to the wheel cylinder generously with rust penetrating lube!
Loosen the lug nuts
Jack up vehicle or raise on hoist.
If using a jack place the car securely on metal jack stands,
never perform any service with a car supported only by a jack.
remove the wheel
pull the drum
remove the shoes and hardware
disconnect the brake line
remove the cylinder
install replacement cylinder
reconnect the brake line
replace the shoes and hardware
Adjust the shoes to just drag lightly on the drum when sliding the drum on
install the drum
Bleed the brakes until only clear fluid with no bubbles comes out of bleeder fitting. Keep an eye on the level in the master cylinder - you do not want to draw air in at the master cylinder!
install the wheel - torque the lug nuts properly after lowering the vehicle to the ground
