Help! I have a beautiful male guppy that looks like it has tiger stripes, and I want to reproduuce it.?
The problem is that the female is very agressive, what should I do? get another female? Can I make them like each other? Please help. (They're both in a 1.5 gallon with gravel and a small airstone, no filter.) Should I move them to a bigger tank?
You have several problems. First the tank is way to small and given you have no filter the water quality is probably poor. Mive them to at least a 10gal heated filtered tank. The second problem is that guppies (and most all live bearers) should be kept in groups of 2 or more females per male, so yes you need to get another female. Also depending on the genetics of the various fish there is no guarantee your males off spring will look anything like him. If you want more of the same pattern the best thing to do is fine females of the same pattern to breed him to.
